Then you are kindly invited to attend the Nanoforum/BIT seminar on 19 November 2003 in Vienna to receive up-to-date information about the topics of the 2nd FP6 call and to get the opportunity to find partners for your project ideas or expertise. The 1st call of the 6th Framework Programme was published in December 2002. Recently the decision was taken which projects will be funded by the commission. It is expected that the new work programme for Thematic Priority 3 ‘Nanotechnologies and nanosciences, knowledge-based multifunctional materials and new production processes and devices’ will be determined by the end of October 2003. The deadline for the 2nd call will be around mid March 2004. Therefore November is a perfect time to prepare project proposals for the next round. To learn from the experience of the 1st call and to work more efficiently the the seminar will present experience reports from the Commission as well as from successful proposers. One specific task for project coordinators with excellent project ideas is to find the most suitable partners and to include partners from the Candidate Countries and SMEs. Vienna as location for this seminar is a good choice to address especially the expertise of the Nanotechnology scene in the neighbouring Candidate Countries.
